The Reel
An overhead reel for jigging, bring the latest addition to the OCEA JIGGER series - the Shimano 20 Ocea Jigger 4000 Overhead Reel, on your deep sea and off-island expeditions. In addition to being able to hold up to 1200m long of a PE 3.0 rated line, the outer diameter of the palming side of the reel has been made smaller and this makes the reel much more comfortable to hold. The 4000 size retains the solid construction and winding/cranking performance of the JIGGER series. The drag force can be more precisely adjusted with the large star drag on the reel.

The Rod
The Shimano Grappler Type J B566 Overhead Jigging Rod features awesome newly designed blanks packed with high-end features like Spiral X and Hi-Power X, both of which are very rare for this price range. In addition to being light, strong and stable during fish fights, the Shimano Grappler Type J B566 Overhead Jigging Rod is equipped with double-footed MN guides and rubber gimbals. This makes it an excellent rod for targeting big game fish.

Spiral X
Spiral X Construction consists of 3 layers - a blank made of vertical fibres, an inner layer, and an outer layer, both comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fibre sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This, in turn, facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fighting fish. Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano's Spiral X construction will definitely enhance your catching power!

H-Power X
In Hi-Power X construction, the blank's outermost layer is diagonally wrapped with carbon tape which forms an array of "X" shapes. The width of the tape, its winding angle, and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. The flexibility allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control.
